The book of barcodes

This project received a commendation by the prestigious International Society of Typographic Designers.

behind the line

We sort, label, systemize, trying to control the uncontrollable. This project exposes one an invisible force shaping modern life: the barcode. Quiet, ignored, everywhere. The hidden architecture of movement, consumption, and control.

cold data to life

The mission was to prove barcodes matter in a world ruled by data. The challenge was making the invisible felt. Dense systems became story, mechanics became narrative, complexity became clarity.

Matter Meets Code

The design follows barcode logic: modular, asymmetrical, precise. Helvetica mirrors their neutrality, where standardisation becomes structure, language, and quiet authority.
